Now that summer is (unfortunately) coming to an end, it’s important to start thinking about how to re-arrange and organize your garage for Fall, as well as touching up your garage door for the new season.
1) Tidy up, by gathering all the items, in your garage, that you left lying around and easily accessible, for summer. Most likely, you will not need these items until next summer, so, begin your clean up, by storing them away in their appropriate places. Bicycles, outdoor toys and gardening tools can all be tucked neatly away. Once that’s done, make sure to sweep and hose down the floor.
2) Swap out the summer items you just put away, for fall items you will need, for the next few months. Holiday season (Halloween first) is approaching, so, make things easy, by keeping all your decorations together, in a special spot that’s easy to get to. That way, you won’t be scrambling to find them at the last minute!
3) Paint your garage door for the new season! If you decided to put off re-painting your garage door before the summer, it’s probably a good idea to repaint now, so you can enjoy a couple of months of a fresh looking door before the winter hits! This can be a simple DIY project that won’t cost you a lot of money!
4) With fall, comes more rain, so it’s important to check your garage door for any gaps, tears, or parts that might be worn out. Make sure to take care of necessary repairs, before the Fall season begins. This will also save you time when preparing your garage door for Winter!
