Holiday presents
Posted by: admin on December 24, 2015
Whether they call it their “man cave” or have dubbed it something else, most of us know someone – or live with someone – who has turned a garage into an oasis of masculinity. Well, this holiday season, instead of handing over a gift card or a (dreaded) sweater, delight the man cave dweller on your list by giving any of these awesome gifts:

1. Space-Saving Shelving
Though they’d be the last to admit it, men cave dwellers are very organized (if you doubt this, try putting the light beer cans on the wrong shelf and see the reaction). Space-saving shelving is the perfect gift to help them keep their space neat and tidy.

2. A Heater
There comes a time when even the thickest flannel jacket won’t withstand all that Old Man Winter has in store – after all, this is the GTA, not Vancouver! A heater is an ideal way to keep those frigid nights from becoming unbearable (and forcing man cave dwellers to come inside before the hockey game is over).

3. An energy efficient mini-fridge.
Rather than using a cooler, or suffering the indignity of having to come back into the house to get another drink or snack, an energy efficient mini-fridge can be the perfect gift idea. You can either go the traditional “boxy” route, or get something more creative – like one emblazoned with an old school Coca Cola logo, and so on.

4. Track Lighting
While standard garage lighting may be fine for parking cars, it’s usually sub-par for everyday man cave activities, such as reading magazines, flipping through newspapers, and having serious, philosophical debates with their visitors on baseball’s Designated Hitter rule. Track lighting is an ideal gift that keeps giving all year round.

5. Video Game System
Whether we’re talking Xbox, Sony Playstation, Wii U, and the list goes on, no man cave is complete without a video game system. While these systems can go for a few hundred each, there’s probably no faster way to bring tears of joy to even the hardiest alpha male on your list. You may even get a hug – so be careful.
